Unique Plant Identification and Codification (UPIC)
This course applies to your organisation if you need to establish a co-ordinated, consistent and unambiguous approach to the identification and codification of industrial plant reference designators. It is also applicable to reviewing current or legacy systems.
Every item in a plant that has either operations or maintenance significance must have a unique and unambiguous reference identification and code for its management.
Unique Plant Identification and Codification (UPIC) is a 2 day course covering the key issues involved in the unique and unambiguous identification and codification of industrial plant. In particular, this course provides the core and up to date information for a robust and disciplined approach to reference designations, and their structures, for operations and maintenance management purposes. In addition, the proper identification and codification of plant is essential for issues such as correct operations, permits to work, maintenance, and maintenance support. Moreover, the plant item should be uniquely identified with a code and description that relevant stakeholders understand. The codes and terms must be visible and useful by everyone in the organisation: operators, fitters, technicians, engineers, planners, analysts, accountants, or managers. Without a disciplined approach in place on these issues the decision making, integrity and compliance issues of the plant may not be able to be assured.
This course shows how the two processes, identification and codification, are the enterprise core linchpins to achieving asset governance & management.

High Reliability Maintenance Practices (HRMP)
A 2 day course focusing on the need to identify and eliminate losses and achieve higher reliability through fundamental maintenance activities. In particular, the course focuses on the basic elements of maintenance and why fitters, engineers, accountants, and management need to have a common focus. If you are interested in reducing maintenance downtime, costs, and economic losses; this course will start you on that path. Or, provide you with additional strategies and tactics if you already have an improvement program in place.
The course covers the maintenance practices of key maintained components such as bolts, nuts, bearings, belts, gears, etc. Do not assume that because these issues are so simple that everyone knows about them - this is not always the case.
